1. The Hollywood Sign

The Hollywood Sign, a giant 11-letter sign spelling out the word “Hollywood,” was originally constructed in 1923.

It was supposed to be up for only a year and a half, but in the end, it never came down.

The easiest place to view the sign is from Hollywood Lake Park.

You can also hike up Hollyridge Trail and view the sign from above.

2. The Griffith Observatory

The Griffith Observatory is a must-see, especially if you are a space fan.

There are tons of space-related exhibits, star-shows, educational exhibits, and even telescopes to take a peek into outer space.

3. Grauman’s Chinese Theater

Also known as TCL Chinese Theater, this is one of the oldest cinemas in Hollywood.

It opened in 1927 and is now a historical landmark.

Tours are offered between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. seven days a week.

4. The Hollywood Walk of Fame

The Hollywood Walk of Fame stretches for 18 blocks and has over 2,500 terrazzo and brass stars with names of celebrities, actors, fictional characters, and other Hollywood names.

The TCL Chinese Theater is located on one of its blocks, and its foreground has nearly 200 handprints, footprints, and autographs from celebrities.

5. Hollywood and Highland

Hollywood and Highland is an entertainment and shopping complex located at Hollywood Blvd and Highland Ave.

It has almost 100 stores and restaurants, and the famous Dolby Theater is also there.
